
About me
I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo as a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Media Arts Production (2016). I am a Fulbright scholar (2013) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2006). He currently work as a Professor in the Visual Design Program at the Universidad de La Salle in Bogotá.
My work as a video artist has been exhibited in France, the US, and Colombia. My project “Temporary Cities” was part of the 2017 IndieBox exhibition at the Bogota Independent Film Festival. I participated with my work “Beau Flux” in
the “Global Snapshots 2015” exhibition, organized by the La Panacée Contemporary Cultural Center in Montpelier, France, a collaborative project with artists from Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
That same year, I participated as a video jockey in the electronic opera “Mental Radio” by composer Jonathan Golove, which premiered in April in Buffalo, NY, USA. In 2014, I exhibited “Mirror 1” at the Hi-Temp Gallery in the same
city, as part of the exhibition “Mise-en-scene: In Mind and Matter.”
I participated in the Tunja International Experimental Short Film Festival FINCORTEX in 2008 with the animation “El Sueño de Pytágoras” (The Dream of Pythagoras), and was a guest artist at the Cartel Urbano Magazine’s Festival of Live, Audiovisual and Plastic Arts in 2007 and 2008 with the pieces “Construction” and “Silences.”
My work as an audiovisual producer has been highlighted by my participation as co-producer of the short film directed by Rodrigo Dimaté, “Los Asesinos,” which was an official selection at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in 2013 and the Valencia International Film Festival in Spain in 2012, among other local festivals. He also directed the documentary “Tras las Barras Bravas,” as part of the documentary series “Corte Colombiano” by the Zoom Channel and the Universidad del Norte in 2012.
